HELP DESK/SUPPORT TECHNICIAN - LEVEL TWO
SecondMarket`s Innovation and Technology Group is looking for a highly motivated and talented desk top support technician to join our growing team in downtown Manhattan. We are leveraging the latest and most exciting technologies and we need the best and brightest people to help us to create the most advanced financial systems in the world.
Provide support to local and remote end-users. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing desktop support and some System Administration to the company`s internal customers and working in compliance with its IT systems and security policies.
The ideal candidate will possess the below required skills ;
• High level of research, analytical, multi-tasking, follow-up and problem solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer Service Orientation
• 3+ years experience in a Microsoft Windows and Office environment
• Ability to balance workloads, prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Proficient in basic administration of Windows networks and Windows OS
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking using switches, VLANs and VPNs
• Proficient with Backup techniques and recovery process
• Proficient in Software packaging and Installation in a Windows Domain Environment
• Proficient in Advanced Hardware Knowledge (upgrading memory, installing peripherals, install and troubleshoot windows printing)
• Experience in Microsoft Server 2003/2007 operating systems, Exchange and Active Directory a must!
Desired skills: MCSA, Network +
Years experience 2-5yrs
